Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping is making the rounds in Washington, today. Following a meeting with President Obama, he attends a State Dept. luncheon with V.P. Biden, Sec. of State Clinton and other officials and visits the Pentagon. Later on, he meets with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Xi Jinping, slated to become China's next President when current President Hu Jintao steps down, hosted Vice President Biden during his stay in China last year.
During his U.S. visit, the Chinese Vice President will also stop at Muscatine, Iowa, where he stayed 1985 during a research project on American agricultural practices, and Los Angeles, where he will attend China-U.S. Economic and Trade Forum.
